Massasoit Community College Athletics Welcomes Paris Amado as Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach

Massasoit Community College Athletics is proud to announce the addition of Paris Amado as the new Assistant Men's Basketball Coach. A former NJCAA standout and championship-winning coach, Amado brings a wealth of playing experience, academic achievement, coaching success, passion for mentorship, player development expertise, and valuable leadership to the Warriors program.

Amado's basketball journey began at the junior college level at fellow Region 21 school Roxbury CC, where he served as team captain and earned Academic All-American honors. He helped lead his team to a state championship, regional championship, and a berth in the national semifinals, while leading the nation in assists during his sophomore season. His leadership and excellence were recognized nationally when he received the prestigious Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Award, honoring outstanding performance on the court, in the classroom, and through community service.

After his playing career, Amado earned his bachelor's degree from UMass Amherst and a master's degree from Northeastern University. He is the founder of Invest In You LLC, a player development organization through which he has trained men's and women's athletes at every level—from youth players to NBA professionals. Over the past decade, Amado has also made his mark in AAU basketball, most recently helping guide the Middlesex Magic 10th Grade Team to the 2025 Zero Gravity National Championship.

Amado also brings championship-level administrative experience. While serving as Administrative Assistant to the Athletic Director at Roxbury Community College, he was part of the leadership team that saw the RCC Women's Basketball Program capture the 2016 NJCAA National Championship.

With his championship background, coaching success, and commitment to student-athlete development, Coach Amado is set to play a key role in the continued growth of Massasoit Men's Basketball.
