WBB Drops Season Opener vs Central Maine, 85-70
Sanaya Gray poured in a team-high 23 points in her first collegiate game, but the Massasoit women’s basketball team fell its season opener, 85-70, to Central Maine CC.

BROCKTON, Mass. ---- Sanaya Gray poured in a team-high 23 points in her first collegiate game, but the Massasoit women's basketball team fell its season opener, 85-70, to Central Maine CC.
Gray finished 6-of-10 from the floor and made 11 free throws en route to her 23-point performance. Mashayla Johnson netted 13 points and Tonaja Lester chipped with 10 in the loss.
Massasoit trailed just 59-55 heading to the fourth quarter. However, the Mustangs closed out the game by outscoring the Warriors 26-15 in the fourth to claim the victory.
The Warriors travel to UConn-Avery Point for a contest on Tuesday.
