Keke Turner Named Region 21 Women’s Basketball Co-Player of the Year
Massasoit Community College women’s basketball student-athlete Nakedria “Keke” Turner was named Region 21 Co-Player of the Year recently announced by the conference office.
BROCKTON, Mass. ---- Massasoit Community College women's basketball student-athlete Nakedria "Keke" Turner was named Region 21 Co-Player of the Year recently announced by the conference office.
Turner put forth a stellar freshman campaign for the Warriors, capped by scoring a career-high 32 points against CCRI in the Region 21 Semifinals.
For the season, the Cedartown, Ga., native averaged 17 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 3.1 steals per game. She scored in double figures in 13 of 14 games played and surpassed the 20-point plateau in four contests. Her points and steals per game averages both ranked second in the region.
Turner was voted Co-Player of the Year in the league by tying UConn Avery Point's Adeline Smith in votes.
