FALL RIVER, Mass. —— The Massasoit women's soccer team continued its strong start to the season, shutting out Bristol CC on the road, 6-0, on Thursday afternoon.
The Warriors stayed unbeaten with the victory, improving to 4-0-1, with three shutouts in their last four matches. For the week thus far, Massasoit is 2-0, outscoring opponents 10-0. The Warriors travel to Springfield Tech on Saturday.
Shelby Sprague (Stoughton) and Delmy Brooks (Brockton) each netted a pair of goals, while Ashley Westover (Stoughton/Cardinal Spellman HS) and Krista Woodworth (Norton) scored as well. In addition, Woodworth dished out three assists in the win.
Laura Ellis (Raynham/Bristol-Plymouth Voc) and Taylor Coletti (Whitman/Norfolk County HS) combined on the clean sheet for the Warriors.
For the match, Massasoit outshot Bristol, 46-2.
