Kraig Kupiec, a former Division I player with eight years head coaching experience at the NCAA Division III level, was recently named the next head baseball coach at Massasoit Community College by Athletics Director Julie Mulvey.

Four Warriors Earn Baseball All-Region Accolades

A total of four student-athletes on the 2018 Massasoit baseball team earned Region 21 postseason accolades, recently announced by the conference office. Luke DiTondo and Luis Ramirez earned spots on the first team and Nick Andrews and Luke Lewando were honorable mention selections for Massasoit that finished 17-13 on the season.

Freshman Luke DiTondo had a career night at the plate, ripping three extra-base hits and driving in three to give the Massasoit baseball team an 8-6 back-and-forth victory vs Quinsigamond at Trinity Stadium on the opening night of the Region 21 Tournament.

The Massasoit baseball team received two strong pitching performances and back-to-back homers from Luis Ramirez and Nick Andrews in game two to lead the Warriors to a doubleheader sweep of Holyoke on Saturday. Massasoit won the first game, 9-3 and game two, 3-1.

Nick Andrews (Raynham) launched a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to break a 2-2 tie and give the Warriors a dramatic 4-2 game one victory against Quinsigamond on Saturday afternoon. The Wyverns captured game two, 3-0, in a pitcher’s duel to earn a doubleheader split on the day.

Southern Maine Community College claimed game two in extra innings to sweep the Massasoit baseball team in a doubleheader on Sunday, winning by scores of 17-2 and 8-7.
